As a Graduate Platform Engineering Technician you will solve customer problems in an agile, innovative, and team‑centric manner, ensuring critical systems remain reliable, secure, and ready to support missions that matter.
- Deploy, configure, and patch Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Support platform health checks, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting.
- Maintain and update technical documentation and work instructions.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to deliver small technical projects and service improvements.
- Contribute to change control and configuration management processes.
- Provide technical support to field teams and end‑users under guidance from more experienced colleagues.
- Minimum 2:2 Bachelor’s or Integrated Master’s degree, or higher degree (MSc/PhD) in a STEM related subject including Cyber Security.
- Foundation in IT systems such as Windows operating systems and basic networking.
- Enthusiasm for learning and applying new technologies.
- Methodical approach to problem‑solving with attention to process and detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow established engineering procedures.

- Understanding of cyber security concepts
- Awareness of ITIL or service management practices
- Hands‑on experience with patching tools, antivirus, or endpoint security
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Knowledge of scripting or automation basics (Power Shell, Bash, Python)
- ITIL Foundation certification
Subject to pre‑employment screening in line with the UK Government's Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Additional Personnel Security Controls (National Security Vetting) may apply, including the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
LocationBased at one of our UK sites, Bristol, with hybrid/custom working options where appropriate.
