Salary Range: £31,253 – £36,000
Job OverviewThe Access Coordinator role supports secure and compliant access to critical infrastructure and operational environments within Leonardo UK's Cyber & Security Solutions Division. This entry‑level position focuses on access control processes, record‑keeping, and coordination across internal teams and external authorities.
Responsibilities- Provide day‑to‑day administrative support for access control processes, including pass and permit applications, renewals, and temporary access requests.
- Maintain accurate records of access permissions, training status, and compliance documentation using SharePoint, Excel, and internal databases.
- Support the Access Manager in ensuring all pass holders meet site‑specific requirements and operate within approved procedures.
- Assist with the coordination of security interviews and work permit administration for business‑as‑usual and urgent escalations.
- Liaise with internal teams and external authorities to resolve access‑related queries and issues in a timely manner.
- Monitor and report on access compliance, escalating risks or anomalies as appropriate.
- Process invoices and contribute to financial tracking related to access services.
- Contribute to service reviews and continuous improvement initiatives related to access and site coordination.
- Strong interest in operational support, compliance, or service coordination.
- Some experience via internships, placements, or academic projects in administrative or business support environments.
- Basic understanding of access control, compliance, or service management principles.
- Familiarity with collaboration and documentation tools such as SharePoint, Excel, or similar platforms.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and follow structured procedures.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Access Documentation – maintain accurate records and follow documentation standards.
- Tool Familiarity – exposure to business support tools (SharePoint, Excel, internal databases).
- Process Awareness – understanding of basic access control and compliance processes.
- Team Collaboration – experience working in teams and supporting others.
- Problem Escalation – ability to identify issues and raise them appropriately.
- Learning Mindset – demonstrates curiosity and commitment to professional development.
- Exposure to hybrid or secure environments (airside, port, defence).
- Awareness of ITIL, ISO 20000, or similar service frameworks.
- Experience handling personal data and understanding of GDPR.
- Interest in pursuing professional certification (ITIL Foundation, SIAM).
- UK or EU driving licence and willingness to travel within the UK.
Pre‑employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Additional Personnel Security Controls may apply, including Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
LocationBased at a UK site with hybrid working options. Primary location:
Bristol – Coldharbour Lane. Secondary location:
Gloucester.
