AWS Cloud Architect

Responsibilities

• Act as a hands‑on cloud expert building cloud platforms across the Cloud Engineering BU’s portfolio of clients.
• Use technical knowledge to influence project direction.
• Design cloud platforms incorporating best practices from cloud providers, implementing them either solo or as part of a larger team.
• Lead or manage people onsite with clients, while collaborating as part of a team of engineers within AND.
• Create documentation and present solutions, clearly communicating complex concepts.
• Respond flexibly to people and client needs, balancing conflicting demands on time and priorities.
• Maintain a growth mindset, curiosity, and process orientation.
• Apply knowledge of containerisation, orchestration (Kubernetes), and serverless architectures.
• Utilise Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation, and CI/CD pipelines, Jira, and Jenkins.

• Experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Cloud Formation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jira, and Jenkins.
• Knowledge of containerisation, orchestration (Kubernetes), and serverless architectures.
• Leadership experience managing people onsite with clients.

Demonstrates expertise in designing and implementing Cloud Platforms, with a strong focus on best practices from cloud providers. Proficient in Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform and Cloud Formation, and experienced in leading teams while effectively communicating complex solutions.
