On behalf of Rolls-Royce who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a Technical Support Engineer for a 12 month contract based in Bristol (hybrid) We are seeking a contractor ready to make a tangible impact across our Naval gas turbine fleet. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and disruption-free operation of all our in-service engine types, supporting a global customer base.

As a Technical Support Engineer must:
Key Accountabilities Take full responsibility for the investigation, analysis, and documentation of safety alerts, incidents, or events related to in-service engine operations. You'll be leading root cause investigations and implementing containment or corrective actions. Prepare, review, and deliver high-quality technical reports that provide clear findings, recommendations, and compliance with regulatory, customer, and company standards, delivered within defined deadlines. Participate in performance reviews and respond to feedback provided by the supervising manager.

Collaborate with specialist teams in disciplines such as Stress, Critical Parts Lifing, Safety and Reliability, Performance, and Controls to solve complex problems and drive product maturity. Key Experiences and any Qualifications A degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent experience in a relevant engineering environment (Mechanical, Aeronautical, Electrical, or Controls). Other qualifications with suitable experience will be considered. A broad understanding of Gas Turbine physical and functional characteristics, as well as familiarity of the in-service operation environment (e.g. direct product experience and knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements) would be advantageous, but training will be provided to develop this.

Strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills, with systems-level thinking and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams.
