Solutions Architect
Location:Bristol
Pay:Up to £107p/h (Inside IR35)
Please note that, due to the nature of the work, you must already hold a high level of UK security clearance.
Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to lead the design of secure, resilient solutions across complex programmes, providing technical leadership and shaping architectural strategy. The role offers hybrid working, combining home and on-site collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Lead solution architecture across large-scale and multi-project programmes.
- Design secure, integrated architectures spanning infrastructure, applications, data, networking and cloud.
- Contribute to technology roadmaps, innovation and strategic planning.
- Lead technical reviews, design assessments and risk evaluations.
- Engage with senior stakeholders and provide architectural guidance.
- Support bids, proposals and business development activities.
- Promote architectural best practice, design reuse and technical knowledge sharing.
- Mentor and coach technical teams.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience in solution architecture across multiple technical domains.
- Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF, MODAF or NAF.
- Advanced understanding of secure-by-design principles and cyber security standards.
- Experience working within Agile or SAFe delivery environments.
- Proven ability to influence technical strategy and engage senior stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Experience
- TOGAF, Archi Mate or AWS/Azure architecture certifications.
- Experience in technology roadmaps, digital modernisation or enterprise strategy.
- Knowledge of cloud-native technologies, Dev Sec Ops and automation.
- Experience presenting at technical boards or customer forums.
- Background in government, defence or national security.
