Job Description & How to Apply Below

An exciting opportunity to join the growing Innovation team of an elite national law firm recognised for being ahead of the curve in legal technology. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about technology, AI and innovation who wants to help shape the future delivery of legal services.

Why Apply?
  • Join a firm at the forefront of legal tech
, with an established commitment to innovation and continued investment in this area.
  • Work with emerging technology
, including AI and automation, turning ideas into practical solutions for lawyers and clients.
  • Make a genuine impact as part of a growing, supportive and collaborative team where new ideas are encouraged.

The Legal Technology & Innovation Business Partner will work closely with lawyers, technology specialists and business teams to identify challenges and develop technology-led solutions that improve efficiency and client service. From evaluating emerging technology to prototyping, piloting and supporting adoption, they will help turn innovative ideas into practical improvements across the firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify opportunities to improve legal processes and client service through technology and innovation.
  • Research and evaluate emerging legal technologies, including AI, automation, data and workflow solutions.
  • Prototype and pilot solutions, assessing their value and potential for wider adoption.
  • Support implementation, stakeholder engagement, training and change.
  • Collaborate with lawyers, internal technology teams, clients and external technology providers.
  • Stay abreast of legal technology developments and contribute to client-facing innovation initiatives.

This role would suit an experienced legal technology, innovation or legal engineering professional, or a former practising lawyer who has moved into technology and innovation. Ideally, you will have five or more years' relevant experience and, crucially, a strong understanding of how law firms operate, how lawyers work and how legal services are delivered.

You will be genuinely passionate about technology and curious about how it works and how it can solve problems, with knowledge of areas such as AI, automation, workflow/document automation, Microsoft technologies and legal technology platforms. Strong communication and stakeholder skills are also essential, particularly the ability to bridge the gap between legal and technical teams.

For someone looking to develop their career in legal innovation, this is an opportunity to join a forward-thinking firm already considered ahead in this space, and play a meaningful role in where it goes next.
