The Role of Actuarial & Analytics Analyst Working within the Actuarial & Analytics team, you'll deliver analysis, data insight and reporting to support effective decision-making across the business. Support actuarial analysis across reserving, pricing, planning, performance monitoring and regulatory reporting Prepare, validate and analyse data from multiple sources Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and management information using Excel and Power BI Work with Underwriting, Finance, Claims and Operations to understand business requirements and improve analytical outputs Support the monitoring of underwriting, claims, exposure and portfolio performance Carry out data-quality checks and investigate anomalies, trends and inconsistencies Support the production of actuarial reports, committee papers and wider business outputs Contribute to process improvements, automation and the development of analytical tools Document assumptions, methodologies, controls and key judgements Undertake ad hoc analysis and project work across the wider Actuarial & Analytics team WOKING
HOURS:
Monday to Friday | 9.00am - 5.30pm What You Will Bring You don't need previous insurance or actuarial experience - we're equally interested in strong analytical professionals who have the numerical capability and curiosity to develop their knowledge within this area. 2 years' experience within an analytical, actuarial, insurance data, MI, pricing or similar role Strong numerical and analytical skills Strong Excel capability Experience analysing and reporting complex data Excellent attention to detail Confident communication and stakeholder skills Relevant degree, actuarial study or equivalent analytical experience General Insurance experience would be advantageous but isn't essential.
Exposure to Power BI, SQL, Power Query, DAX, Python, R or Alteryx would also be beneficial. You don't need to be a qualified or studying actuary – we're equally interested in strong analytical professionals looking to develop their actuarial and insurance knowledge.
