Sign Solutions was founded in 1998 and provides interpreting and translation services to the Deaf community across the UK.

Our mission is 'To provide access and combat inequality by enabling people of different languages, cultures and communities to talk to each other'. We offer face‑to‑face and pre‑booked video interpreting, Deaf Awareness Training, Access to Work support, BSL translations, and an on‑demand video interpreting platform, Interpreters Live!. All services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Applicants must be UK residents and have permission to work in the UK. A DBS check (Enhanced) is required.

About the role

Provide BSL interpreting, both face‑to‑face and remotely, predominantly within the medical sector in Bristol / South West. You may also work with a broader range of clients in the private and public sector, and individual Deaf clients. Opportunity to work on Interpreters Live! service on pre‑booked and on‑demand assignments.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Undertake face‑to‑face interpreting assignments
  • Undertake video interpreting assignments
  • Deliver high‑quality BSL/English interpreting services to all clients
  • Report to Head Interpreter and Line Manager
  • Abide by the NRCPD code of conduct
  • Work well within the interpreting team
Essential skills/qualifications/experience
  • NRCPD registration RSLI/TSLI
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Experience working in the medical sector (desirable)
  • Full driving licence (essential)
