Planning Senior Associate - Bristol

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Senior Associate to join a top-tier Planning team that's at the forefront of major infrastructure and energy projects across the UK.

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth and high demand, our top 50 law firm client are looking for an experienced planning solicitor to join their nationally recognised team which is consistently ranked highly by legal directories. The successful planning solicitor will play a key role in delivering strategic planning and compulsory purchase advice on some of the most complex and high‑profile projects in the country.

Why

Join?
  • Work on nationally significant energy and infrastructure developments including offshore and onshore wind, solar, hydro, carbon capture, interconnectors, and nuclear as well as water infrastructure, flood defence, major transport and regeneration schemes.
  • Be part of a standalone planning team – not a bolt‑on to real estate – with its own clients, reputation and track record.
  • Engage in the full life cycle of a project, from early-stage strategy through to delivery.

You’ll work alongside some of the leading names in the sector, including Legal 500 Leading Partners and Chambers Band 1 ranked lawyers, all committed to helping you develop your career.

Candidate Requirements
  • A qualified solicitor with solid experience in complex planning matters.
  • A proactive team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, can lead on matters where needed, and has a keen interest in mentoring others.
  • Experience with business development and confident managing client relationships is a big plus.

You’ll be part of a supportive and modern working environment where quality of work and quality of life go hand in hand. The firm has been repeatedly recognised as one of the best law firms to work for and offers flexible hybrid working as standard.

If you’re looking to enjoy top-quality work with a highly respected planning team and want clear, fair pathways to progression all whilst enjoying a highly competitive salary and benefits package, then do get in touch.
