Overview
About the Role This is an exciting time to join a growing legal services organisation that has experienced a period of positive change and sustained growth across its Litigation and Dispute Management teams. A Senior Associate is needed to join the Contract Disputes team within the wider Volume Litigation department. As a Senior Associate, you will manage your own caseload from start to finish in a commercial and pragmatic manner, resolving matters through the courts and litigation process, as well as through mediation and other alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods where appropriate.
You will also perform early assessments of the prospects of success for each claim and ensure that matters are handled in accordance with relevant legal expenses insurance policy requirements. The role involves supporting a culture of efficient and effective case management, taking ownership of client issues through to resolution, and working to meet service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and financial targets.
You will contribute to knowledge sharing and best practice within the wider team. This role operates on a hybrid working model, with a minimum of two days per week in the office. The position is ideally full-time, although part-time arrangements may also be considered.
- Manage your own caseload from start to finish in a commercial and pragmatic manner.
- Resolve matters through the courts and litigation process, as well as through mediation and other ADR methods where appropriate.
- Carry out early assessments of the prospects of success for each claim and ensure matters are handled in accordance with relevant legal expenses insurance policy requirements.

- Work to meet service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and financial targets.

- Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to deliver positive client outcomes.
- Adapt to a hybrid working model with in-office presence as required.
- Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Practitioner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines, KPIs, and SLAs
- Proactive approach to managing a caseload to a high professional standard
- Clear understanding of professional regulatory obligations and codes of conduct
- Strong collaboration and client care skills
- Effective negotiation and analytical problem-solving abilities
- Resilience to handle sensitive or complex matters in a fast-paced environment
