School Site Manager - Canterbury

Hours: Monday to Friday

Pay: 14+ per hour

Academics are currently seeking a full-time School Site Manager to join a welcoming school in Canterbury. This is a practical, hands‑on role with leadership responsibilities, ideal for someone with a background in caretaking, facilities, or site management within a school or similar environment.

• Oversee the daily opening, closing, and overall security of the school site
• Manage general maintenance, repairs, and the upkeep of buildings and grounds
• Carry out routine health and safety checks, ensuring full compliance
• Supervise site staff, contractors, and cleaning teams
• Prepare rooms and facilities for lessons, events, and school functions
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑presented school environment
• Provide ad‑hoc support to staff with site‑related needs
• Implement and uphold site procedures and operational standards

• Previous experience in a site manager, caretaker, or facilities role (desirable)
• Strong leadership skills with experience overseeing staff or contractors
• A proactive, hands‑on approach with good problem‑solving ability
• Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations
• The ability to work independently and use initiative
• An enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
