Maintenance Person, Building Maintenance, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

Overview

Pertemps Bristol Industrial is seeking a Maintenance Person for a full-time, ongoing role in Bristol. This position involves ensuring a busy student accommodation site remains safe and functional. Pay: £14.31 per hour. Immediate start available.

• Carry out general maintenance and repair work across the building, including doors, handles, locks, furniture, fittings and fixtures.
• Replace light bulbs and complete basic electrical repairs.
• Undertake minor plumbing tasks, such as fixing taps and unblocking drains.
• Paint touch-ups and minor decorating as required.
• Inspect appliances and report faults; ensure rooms and communal areas meet health and safety standards.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from the site team and support preparing accommodation for residents.

• Previous experience in a maintenance, handyman, caretaking, or facilities role.
• Practical skills across general building maintenance and the ability to work independently.
• Reliable, with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
• Commitment to high health and safety standards; immediate availability preferred.

• Competitive hourly pay of £14.31 per hour.
