The Isle of Wight College is entering an exciting new phase of development, with a renewed commitment to financial strength, exceptional learner experience and long-term sustainability. To support this journey, we are seeking an outstanding senior finance leader to join our Senior Leadership Team.
The Role- Lead the development of robust financial and estates strategies that secure long-term sustainability.
- Own financial planning, budgeting, monitoring and statutory reporting, ensuring the College remains in outstanding financial health.
- Operate as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, offering strategic insight and financial guidance to support innovation, growth and informed decision‑making.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO, COO, SLT and Heads across the College to deliver organisational objectives.
- Provide leadership across estates, health and safety, and compliance to ensure a safe, effective and engaging learning environment.
- Champion accountability, transparency and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
We’re looking for someone who combines technical mastery with strong leadership, collaboration and the ability to drive meaningful change.
Essential Requirements- Full CCAB qualification (CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA, ICAEW).
- Evidence of ongoing continuous professional development.
- Extensive senior‑level finance experience, within or outside Further Education.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage change and deliver strategic objectives.
- Highly proficient with Excel, data analysis and complex accounting systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and professional development.
