Harris' Global Spectrum Superiority International Division has an opportunity for a Divisional Finance Director to provide strategic financial leadership across the UK, Australia, and parts of the US, overseeing a business with approximately $200M in annual revenue.
Leading a global finance function, you will directly manage four Managers and provide leadership to a wider team of 15, ensuring strong financial performance, effective governance, and the execution of a forward looking financial strategy that supports continued growth.
Operating within a dynamic matrix organisation, the Divisional Finance Director plays a pivotal leadership role, partnering closely with L3
Harris Finance functions and serving as a trusted advisor to Divisional General Managers. As a key member of the Divisional Leadership Team, you will hold end to end accountability for financial strategy, performance, governance, and reporting.
This role blends strategic commercial leadership with operational excellence. You will drive sustainable growth, safeguard financial integrity, and shape critical business decisions across the division. Responsibilities span ownership of the Strategic Plan, delivery against Annual Operating Plan targets, oversight of investment cases, and accountability for P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet performance.
In addition to operating within the corporate accounting framework, you will serve as a UK Legal Entity Director, supporting the L3
Harris UK Board on financial matters while ensuring the highest standards of statutory compliance, governance, and risk management.
- Define and execute the divisional financial strategy in alignment with corporate objectives, enabling long term value creation.
- Partner with senior leadership to evaluate commercial opportunities, optimise margins, prioritise investments, and support strategic bids.
- Deliver forward looking insights, financial modelling, and decision support to guide executive strategy.
- Champion strong governance while maintaining the agility required to compete in complex markets.
- Ensure rigorous application of financial policies, controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Fulfil statutory and fiduciary duties as a UK Legal Entity Director.
- Strengthen risk management and internal control environments across the division.
- Build and inspire a high performing international finance team, fostering both technical excellence and commercial capability.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant post qualification experience.
- A proven track record of senior finance leadership within large, complex, matrixed organisations.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence strategy and accelerate business performance.
- Expertise within FP&A.
- Experience operating at Executive and Board level, ideally including statutory director responsibilities.
- Deep understanding of corporate governance, compliance, and legal entity oversight.
- Demonstrated success leading international teams.
- Exceptional judgement, integrity, and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge and advise at the highest levels.
- Experience in the Defence (or similar) industry an advantage but not essential.
