Project Manager (Part‑Time)
We are looking for a talented Project Manager to help drive forward impactful change across our organisation. This is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, part‑time: 3 days per week, including Tuesday and Thursday.

Role Summary

In this key cross‑functional role you’ll own the delivery of high‑value publishing projects from initial concept through to implementation. You’ll work with colleagues across multiple teams, ensuring projects are well‑structured, delivered on time and within budget, and supported by clear communication and strong stakeholder engagement.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Managing the end‑to‑end delivery of selected publishing projects using agreed project management methodologies.
  • Coordinating project meetings, actions, documentation, and delivery timelines.
  • Developing and maintaining reporting capabilities and best‑practice approaches.
  • Keeping teams aligned, organised and focused on project goals.
  • Providing regular progress updates to senior publishing stakeholders.
  • Managing project budgets and ensuring effective cost control.
  • Identifying stakeholders and creating clear communication plans in collaboration with project sponsors.
  • Ensuring consistent, timely engagement with internal teams, external partners, and customers.
  • Acting as an advocate for project management excellence across Publishing.
  • Staying informed on developments in STM publishing and customer needs to help shape impactful projects.
About You

You’ll be a confident, collaborative project manager who enjoys working with diverse stakeholders and guiding projects through to successful delivery. You’ll bring strong communication, organisation, influencing skills, a proactive approach to problem‑solving and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
  • Prince2 or equivalent project management qualification or proven project management experience.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (desirable).
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (desirable).
Experience & Knowledge
  • Data‑driven approach to decision‑making.
  • Experience with continuous improvement, ideally using lean methodologies.
  • Familiarity with analytical and reporting tools.
  • Understanding of the STM publishing market (desirable).
Skills & Behaviours
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability.
  • Effective prioritisation and change management skills.
  • Customer‑focused mindset with a drive for results.
