Registered Manager - Learning Disability Supported Living
The Role:

We are looking for a strong, talented, and highly motivated leader to join our Supported Living team. Unlike a standard vacancy, we are looking for the right person first - once recruited, we will work with you to place you in the service where your specific skills and experience will have the greatest impact.
You will be responsible for a responsive, high-quality supported living service, ensuring that our independent living homes in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead maintain the highest CQC ratings.
Main duties of the jobHow Youll Lead As a Registered Manager, you will oversee a Supported Living service, leading a team of Service Managers, Seniors, and Support Workers. Your mission is to ensure:

Managing budgets effectively, leading on recruitment, and maintaining strong relationships with housing associations and local authority partners.
About You We are looking for a resilient leader with a proven track record of improving performance and motivating large teams in a fast-paced environment. Essential Requirements:
- Experience:
Minimum of 3 years management experience in supported living or residential care, specifically working with learning disabilities, neurodiversity, or complex needs. - Qualifications:
NVQ / QCF Level 5 is essential. - CQC Knowledge: A deep understanding of the Health and Social Care Act and CQC framework.
- Transport: A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for business use.
- Flexibility:
Work Participation in the out-of-hours on-call rota.
Optalis is a LATCo (Local Authority Trading Company) jointly owned by Wokingham Borough Council and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
In addition to running two reablement services - START in Wokingham and STS&R in Maidenhead - Optalis delivers adult social care on behalf of the two local authorities. We have over 50 services across the WBC and RBWM boroughs, supporting adults with learning disabilities to live independently, as well as providing dementia and nursing care for older people.

Job responsibilitiesDuties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Operational:
- Ensure all services meet or exceed CQC standards by being fully compliant with legislation and standards of CQC framework.
- Understand and ensure services operate within agreed budget, using resources in the most effective and efficient ways.
- Work closely with and manage the local authority contract, successfully meeting objectives whilst delivering high quality care and support to all people living in the service.
- Develop a strong working relationship with housing associations to ensure the services are kept to a high standard, and that all scheduled maintenance and repairs comply with health and safety legislation.
- Perform and practice for fire evacuations to meet/exceed times set by housing associations.
- Be competent in maintaining records and compiling reports, as well as conduct practical and theoretical observations, competencies and service audits.
- Proactively address all complaints and negative feedback, ensuring resolution within statutory and Optalis guidelines, and that customer satisfaction is achieved.
- Work in partnership with Head of Provider Service to ensure completion of investigations and disciplinaries in line with Optalis policies.
- Understand and develop expertise of electronic systems, including iTrent, Access and iAuditer.
- Develop, present and take ownership for Business Continuity plans and CIP for the services.
