We are seeking two driven, professional and experienced Senior Programme Managers to join the Merger Programme Team.

The Trusts have announced the intention to merge in July 2026 and are now preparing for day 1 readiness and beyond.
The Merger Programme team has been established to support the delivery of the merged organisation and the main purpose of these two roles is to support the delivery of key projects to enable a safe merged organisation.
Some projects may be digital whilst others will be focussed on non‑digital elements.
These roles demand experience of large‑scale change programmes, working with senior practitioners and managers, to deliver extensive system change across acute hospitals. As well as demonstrating technical programme management and improvement skills, the individual will be expected to offer innovation and creativity to the projects to fully support the project and programme outcomes. The programme managers will need to be politically astute and strategically aware.
TheProgramme Manager Will Be Expected To
- Provide strategic management and leadership to the projects/programmes of work being undertaken to deliver the merger.
- Ensure effective running of project groups overseeing programmes and feeding into the Merger programme Board/Group Executives as appropriate.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders (clinicians, managers, providers etc.) on a range of operationally sensitive issues.
- Lead the identification of dependencies across other programmes/work streams to ensure a consistent approach to the management of projects and programmes, and assess all potential impacts.
- Provide expert advice, guidance and support in service redesign, demonstrating excellence in the application and utilisation of relevant service improvement, transformation, innovation and project management techniques.
- Act as a visible champion for change.
- Ensure transparent reporting of programme progress.
- Work closely with commissioning leads, HR, OD, transformation leads, finance, business intelligence and performance to ensure the development of robust and innovative service improvement methods and embedded project management processes.
- Ensure project and programme information is properly managed and best practice is shared across all teams.
