Salary: £85,000 to £120,000 (depending on experience)

A leading national law firm is seeking a Senior Associate or Director to join its highly respected and expanding Pensions team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to take on high profile work within a collaborative, forward thinking environment, advising employers, trustees and public bodies across the full spectrum of pensions law.

You’ll be responsible for advising on a broad range of pensions matters, including:

• Risk reduction and transfer exercises (buy ins, buyouts, alternative funding arrangements)
• PPF assessment periods, scheme rescues and high profile insolvencies
• Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) matters across England and Wales
• Corporate transactions, scheme mergers, restructurings and wind ups
• Complex pensions litigation, including professional negligence and Part 8 claims
• Supporting the operation of one of the UK’s leading independent trustee companies
• Building strong client relationships and contributing to business development
• Working closely with colleagues across the national team to deliver high quality, commercial advice

• 6+ years PQE in non contentious pensions work
• Experience advising employers, trustees or public bodies
• Strong technical knowledge across the areas outlined above
• Excellent communication and client handling skills
• A proactive, commercial and solutions focused approach
• Confidence managing complex matters with appropriate autonomy
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

The firm is open to appointing at Senior Associate or Director level, depending on experience.
