Owen Reed is looking for a Facilities Supervisor for a top law firm in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced facilities professional to play a key role in ensuring the firm's offices operate safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. Working closely with the Facilities Manager, you'll oversee daily facilities operations, supervise the local team and support the delivery of a first‑class workplace environment.
The Role As the Facilities Supervisor, you will support the Facilities Manager in the day‑to‑day management of facilities services across the Bristol office. You'll be responsible for supervising facilities staff, managing contractors, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and maintaining an efficient, safe and well‑maintained working environment for colleagues and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and support the day‑to‑day activities of the local Facilities team.
- Assist the Facilities Manager with the operational management of the office and facilities services.
- Manage external contractors, ensuring maintenance works are completed safely, efficiently and to agreed standards.
- Oversee building services and monitor service level agreements (SLAs).
- Act as the primary facilities contact for colleagues within the assigned offices.
- Support office improvement projects, relocations and workspace initiatives.
- Promote energy efficiency, sustainability and carbon reduction initiatives.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
- Assist with tenant matters and facilities‑related projects.
- Approve facilities invoices within delegated authority.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure facilities documentation is up to date.
We're looking for an organised, proactive and experienced facilities professional who enjoys leading teams and delivering a high‑quality workplace experience.
You'll ideally have:
- Significant experience in a Facilities, Building Management or Workplace Services role.
- Previous experience supervising facilities staff or managing contractors.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and workplace compliance.
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities within a busy professional environment.
- A customer‑focused approach with excellent stakeholder management skills.
- IOSH and/or NEBOSH qualification (preferred).
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between offices when required.
Full‑time, office‑based Monday to Friday | 9:00am – 5:30pm. Flexibility around start and finish times where required.
