Registered Manager Learning Disabilities

Registered Manager Stoke on Trent £60,000 - £65,000 per annum plus benefits Mellors Care are recruiting for a Registered Manager on behalf of a specialist care provider for an established five bed residential service in Stoke on Trent. The service supports adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and highly complex needs. Individuals can require very intensive levels of support, with staffing packages ranging from 2:1 through to 4:1.

This is an established and commissioned service which has been open for around a year. We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager who is confident leading a complex service and understands the challenges that come with supporting individuals with high acuity needs. The role As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day to day running of the service, ensuring individuals receive safe, high quality and person centred support.

Responsibilities will include:
Leading and developing the staff team Maintaining high standards of care and support Ensuring the service remains compliant with CQC requirements Supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism and complex needs Promoting Positive Behaviour Support and Active Support approaches Managing high staffing ratios and complex support packages Recruitment, retention and development of the staff team Managing budgets and maintaining appropriate staffing levels Working closely with families, professionals and commissioners Maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders Ensuring care plans, risk assessments and documentation remain accurate and up to date About you We are looking for an experienced care manager with a strong background in complex adult social care.

You will ideally have experience working with people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, complex mental health needs or behaviours that can challenge. Previous experience managing services with high staffing ratios or complex packages would be particularly valuable. You will need to be confident leading a staff team, managing compliance and maintaining high standards while ensuring the people supported remain at the centre of the service.

A Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management, or equivalent, would be desirable.
