Band 8a CAMHS Clinical Service Manager

Job overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, inspirational leader passionate about children’s mental health. You will work jointly to manage our CAMHS crisis teams with our other Clinical Service Manager. Working hours are 22.5 hours to 30 hours per week.

Our passionate multi-disciplinary teams provide hospital assessment and intensive outreach to help prevent or reduce psychiatric admission for young people who live in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire:

• CAMHS Intensive Outreach Team (CIOT) based at Campbell House, Kingsdown, Bristol, BS6 5UB

• Urgent Care and Treatment (UCAT) based at Weston General Hospital.

You will work closely with our acute hospital colleagues and the South West Provider Collaborative (inpatient provider), as well as forming close relationships with locality CAMHS. This role also involves working closely with our partners in child health, social care and the voluntary sector to continue to deliver effective services that make a difference.

Candidates must have appropriate clinical qualification and professional registration. The right candidate will put young people at the heart of the service, will possess good problem-solving skills and have the ability to achieve results through collaboration with staff, young people, families and partner agencies.

To be responsible for the leadership and delivery of the CAMHS Intensive Outreach Team (CIOT) and Urgent Care and Treatment (UCAT) teams which wok with children and young people across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG). Please note the post holder will be required to travel across BNSSG across both bases and multiple other sites in the area.

CIOT is a combined team of AWP and Off The Record staff working to an agreed set of aims and objectives. This role requires close collaboration with a range of partner services to ensure seamless delivery of care across the pathway of services, particularly social care, acute hospitals and alongside adult services. Please note that CIOT works 24/7 and although this post is predominantly Monday to Friday there may be occasions when working outside of these hours is required.
