Job Description & How to Apply Below

Provelio is a property consultancy that both advises clients and delivers for them, from purpose to performance. We work with NHS Trusts, universities, local authorities, the Ministry of Defence and corporate occupiers to plan, deliver and manage property and real estate that performs.

Based in our Bristol office, you will lead the day-to-day delivery of capital projects for our education and healthcare clients. You will take projects through the RIBA Plan of Work stages, from strategic definition through to handover and use. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, communication and stakeholder management. Your aim is to make sure each project delivers the outcomes our clients need, on time and to the expected quality.

You will work to PRINCE2 principles, with support from our senior project managers and directors. You will also help develop the next generation of project managers in your team.

What you will be doing

  • Leading the planning, monitoring and control of education and healthcare projects across the RIBA stages, and managing the production of all required deliverables
  • Directing and motivating the wider project team, including consultants, contractors and suppliers
  • Producing the Project Initiation Document, and preparing project, stage and exception plans for agreement with the Project Board
  • Managing project risks and issues, including developing contingency plans
  • Administering change control and maintaining accurate project records
  • Preparing Project Board reports, including highlight reports and end stage reports
  • Working with the Project Board and Project Assurance roles to maintain the overall direction and integrity of the project
  • Agreeing the technical and quality strategy with the appropriate members of the Project Board
  • Liaising with programme management and related projects so that work is neither overlooked nor duplicated
  • Delivering the client service levels we have agreed
  • Preparing lessons learned reports, follow‑on action recommendations and end project reports
  • Managing fees, and contributing to business development and new services
  • Supporting and mentoring Assistant and Graduate Project Managers

Skills we are looking for

  • Proven experience managing education or healthcare projects across the RIBA stages (essential)
  • Minimum 1 year relevant experience
  • A degree in a relevant discipline, such as construction or project management, building surveying, real estate, engineering or architecture
  • Strong planning, risk management and reporting skills
  • Confident stakeholder management, including at senior and board level

What we look for in you

  • Clients see you as combining professional excellence with responsive, personal attention
  • Enthusiasm for your work and a strong commitment to the business
  • Excellent time management and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A collaborative approach: you work well as part of a team and act on team decisions
  • Recognised professional and technical ability in your field
  • Honesty, integrity and trustworthiness
  • High standards in everything you deliver
  • Leadership by example, and an approachable, adaptable manner

What we offer

We invest in our people from day one. As a Project Manager you will receive:

Holiday and time off

  • Enhanced holiday entitlement
  • Additional leave for members of the Reserves
  • Up to two days’ leave a year for volunteering and public duties in support of charitable organisations
