Kingston Barnes has an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing and dynamic manufacturing business in Bristol, producing high-spec, precision sheet metal components. We are seeking an experienced Fabricator Welder to support ongoing demand and contribute to the delivery of bespoke, high-quality work.

You will be based at the Bristol facility, working on complex steel fabrications to exacting standards. The role combines hands-on fabrication with high-quality welding. Work will include fillet and butt welds, both full and partial penetration, across a range of steel grades and thicknesses.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manufacture sheet metal items using mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium

* Read and interpret technical and engineering drawings

* Accurately measure and mark materials

* Cut, bend, and form metal using various sheet metal machines

* Assemble and join components using welding, soldering, or bolting

* Finish products through grinding, filing, cleaning, and polishing

* Identify and repair faults or damaged components

* Maintain high standards of quality while meeting deadlines

About you

* Time-served fabricator/welder with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent

* Proven experience in MIG/MAG welding within a sheet metal or fabrication environment

* Strong understanding of welding procedures, preheat, and temperature control

* Ability to work independently while also taking direction when required

* Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail

* Comfortable working to deadlines and prioritising workload

* Keen to learn, develop, and support others
