Coveris is a leading global manufacturer, creating high performance and technically engineered packaging solutions. At our Winsford site, we produce polythene film for a range of established customers across multiple industries including agricultural, industrial, and food-based sectors. We are looking for hard-working and motivated individuals to join our production operations team in the Blown Extrusion and Stretch Extrusion departments.
Job DescriptionShifts: 4 on, 4 off (2 days 7am-7pm / 2 nights 7pm-7am), averaging 14 shifts per month
Salary: Starting at £31,175.20 per year
Holidays: 20 days per year
As an Extrusion Operator, you will play a vital role by efficiently operating blown film extruders, ensuring consistent production according to customer, quality, and H&S standards.
Progression is available and encouraged, with opportunities to further your career through a grading system. You will receive full training during our comprehensive induction and 13-week training period.
Key Responsibilities- Responsibility for the production of polythene film products to the required customer specifications on production line(s).
- Carrying out order and blend changes.
- Conducting and accurately recording quality control checks, and taking remedial action when necessary.
- Working according to work tickets and job specification sheets, completing all production-related controlled documents to ensure compliance with customer requirements and quality standards.
- Ensuring finished product packaging meets specifications and customer expectations.
- Maintaining housekeeping and hygiene standards.
- Completing duties safely and responsibly, in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
- Performing ad-hoc duties as required to meet business needs, subject to appropriate training.
