Cnc Miller

An established manufacturing company in Bristol is looking for a skilled CNC Miller - Setter-Operator to join their production team. The successful candidate will set up and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC milling machines to produce high-quality components from a variety of materials. Hours:

7:30 - 16:00 Mon-Thu | 7:30 - 12:30 Fri

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls.
• Produce complex components to drawing and process specifications.
• Select, install, and maintain cutting tools, tool holders, and fixtures.
• Set work offsets using probes or manually with wobble bar/DTI clock.
• Monitor machining processes and make adjustments to maintain quality.
• Ensure production meets planned set/run times and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate production records, including setup sheets, tool lists, and kits.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S and process optimization.
• Communicate production issues and attend SQDCP meetings.

• Experience operating CNC machines, ideally with Heidenhain controls.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of CNC programming and machining techniques.
• Competent in using inspection equipment, such as micrometers, verniers, and plug gauges.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to produce components efficiently and to tight tolerances.

• Previous experience in a similar CNC setter/operator role.
• Aerospace industry experience.

• Competitive hourly rate £15.31 - £16.89.
