Guidant Global is partnering with Airbus, a global leader in aerospace innovation, to recruit multiple Skilled Aircraft Fitters at their Filton site.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world‑class manufacturing environment, contributing directly to the build and assembly of advanced commercial and military aircraft. You'll play a key role within the Build Production team, working on high‑profile aircraft programmes in a safety‑critical environment.

As a Skilled Aircraft Fitter, you'll be responsible for delivering precision assembly work to the highest aerospace standards.

• Working from detailed engineering instructions and aircraft drawings
• Carrying out assembly tasks including drilling, shimming and sealing
• Using hand and power tools to complete complex build activities
• Ensuring all work meets stringent quality and safety requirements
• Completing training to achieve 1st party certification
• Working in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces and at height
• Supporting continuous improvement and contributing to team objectives

• Completed full engineering apprenticeship (mandatory)
• NVQ Level 2 AND Level 3 in an engineering discipline (or equivalent certification)
• Time‑served or work‑based apprenticeship with formal certification
• Proof of qualifications must be provided at application stage

In addition, you must have:

• Proven experience in a fitter / assembly / manufacturing role
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Hands‑on experience using hand and power tools
• A strong commitment to health and safety standards
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Comfort working in confined spaces and at height

Please note: Applications without the required apprenticeship and NVQ Level 2 & 3 qualifications will not be considered.

• Competitive hourly rates:
  • 28.87 per hour (Umbrella)
  • 21.58 per hour (PAYE)
• 12-month contract with strong potential for extension

• BPSS clearance required (completed by Airbus)
• Pre‑employment medical required
• Role subject to IR35 off‑payroll working rules
