Hours of Work 12/7 Shift (7 Day Fort Days) 11.5 hour days, average 40.25 hour week, all days 6:00AM – 6:00PM Week 1 – Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, Sun Week 2 – Wed, Thurs Pay Rates Training Period £18.43 per hour on core days (2–12 weeks, subject to experience) Shift Rate £23.59 per hour PAYE £27.65 per hour weekday overtime £36.86 per hour weekend overtime
Key Responsibilities Manufacture, machine, measure, test and assemble aircraft components from composite and metallic materials, up to 15m in length, using automated machinery Operate CNC rout machines, 5 Axis Zimmerman drilling and fettling gantry machines and jigged vacuum fixtures Use Renishaw probing equipment and cutter tool setting equipment Load and set fixtures and tooling in CNC machines Work in accordance with aircraft design drawing requirements Participate in lean manufacture, waste reduction and continuous improvement initiatives Follow Health & Safety requirements, including relevant risk, COSHH and safe systems of work Undertake training in advanced composite manufacturing techniques and processes Requirements Apprenticeship (industry related) or minimum Level 3 City & Guilds/NVQ essential – aero/engineering degree considered with 3–5 years' machining experience including 5 Axis Certificates must be sent with CV Ideally 3–5 years' experience on CNC machines;
