Job Description
The Fabricator supports the production process by performing a variety of fabrication, assembly, and material handling tasks following established shop procedures and safety standards. This role requires precision, efficiency, and collaboration to meet customer expectations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
How You Will Make an ImpactComprehend and follow shop procedures, standard practice instructions, prints, diagrams and other written and verbal instructions.
Manipulate apparatus and components to required workstations, equipment, stations and positions.
Able to use hand tools and manual tools and perform bench work such as deburring, sanding, tapping, etc. as required.
Identification and selection of appropriate material to be cut to size and notch and miter using work instructions, machinery and measuring devices.
Punch, drill, or burn holes using work instructions, machinery, programs, and tools to meet requirements.
Perform bending operations using work instructions, machinery, and tools necessary to give desired results.
All operations require accurate measurement and counting to conform to specifications and must be performed efficiently and at a progress rate sufficient to meet customer demands and expectations.
Comprehend and observe all safety and quality standards and participate in Kaizen and Area Focus Teams.
Use manual tools, occasional solvents, and cleaning supplies to maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Maintain regular and timely attendance, work efficiently, and work overtime when required to support continuous manufacturing.
Work in close concert with, and get along with, co-workers.
High school or GED equivalent with a relevant Tech school or appropriate combination of education, training, skills, and experience.
Previous experience with powered hand tools required.
The Human Resource Administrator can determine whether education and training are equivalent based on the associate's experience.
