Location:

Bristol (BS5 and BS30) – you will primarily be based at one site depending on your skills and experience; you may occasionally be asked to assist the other Bristol site with reasonable notice.

Salary: £12.92 - £18.31 an hour – depending on experience.

  Double Days rotating weekly #removed# Mon‑Thurs + #removed# Fri, and #removed# Mon‑Thurs and #removed# Fri + 25% Shift Premium

We are recruiting CNC Turners and Millers to join a busy aerospace manufacturing group, producing precision aerospace components. This hands‑on role supports the manufacture of precision components. You will operate machinery, ensuring production runs safely, smoothly, and to a high quality standard.

• Setting and operating CNC turning and milling machines.
• Producing precision components to drawing and customer specifications.
• Setting tooling, manufacturing soft jaws, and establishing machine datums.
• Inspecting components using precision measuring equipment.
• Optimising cycle times while maintaining quality and safety.
• Troubleshooting tooling, programme, and machine issues.
• Completing production documentation and supporting continuous improvement.
• Working closely with engineers and other colleagues to optimise production processes and achieve efficient and accurate machining operations.
• Performing in‑process inspections to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
• Being flexible and willing to work at our client's other Group site in Bristol if required.

• Experience using CNC machines in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Good working knowledge of component dimensions using inspection equipment (e.g., micrometers, verniers and plug gauges).
• Ability to produce components to drawing tolerance & specifications, efficiently, accurately and safely.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills.

• Aerospace manufacturing experience.
• Experience with OEE / Four Jaw systems, multi‑spindle / multi‑turret machines.
• Experience using inspection machines – CMM / Opticline machines.
