We have a range of shift patterns available depending on the successful candidate and site.
Site 1
- Day
Shift:- Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
- Friday: 7:30am – 12:30pm
- Late
Shift:- Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm – 12:00am
- 30% shift premium
Site 2
- Double Days (Rotating):
- Earlies:
- Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 2:00pm
- Friday: 6:00am – 11:00am
- Lates:
- Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
- Friday: 11:00am – 4:00pm
- 25% shift premium
- Earlies:
Although you'll primarily be based at one site, there may occasionally be the opportunity to support another site with reasonable notice.
Salary:
£26,102 – £48,272 per annum DOE (including applicable shift premiums),
Candidates with basic operating experience are welcome to apply, with higher rates available for individuals who can programme, set and operate CNC Turning machines independently.
Key Responsibilities- Set and operate CNC Turning machines using Fanuc controls.
- Manufacture high-quality precision components to engineering drawings and customer specifications.
- Set tooling, manufacture soft jaws and establish machine datums.
- Carry out first-off and in-process inspection using micrometers, verniers, bore gauges and plug gauges.
- Produce components to tight tolerances whilst maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor machining performance and make tooling or offset adjustments where required.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling and programme issues.
- Complete production documentation accurately.
- Work to production targets whilst maintaining excellent quality standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and 5S activities.
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
- Previous CNC Turning experience.
- Experience using Fanuc controls.
- Ability to set and operate CNC Turning machines.
- Programming experience is highly desirable but not essential.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Confident using measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers and bore gauges.
- Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling.
- Excellent attention to detail.
