CNC Machinist

Salary £43,000 (including shift allowance). Night shift 22:00 – 06:00, 5‑night pattern, 37.5 hours a week with 25 days + bank holidays, company pension, paid social events, parking.

Location:

Bristol, BS34. Permanent role.

• Setting up and operating 3‑axis CNC milling machines.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Running Mazak machines with Mazatrol controls and Haas machines; similar machining experience preferred.
• Selecting appropriate tooling for each job.
• Working with the quality team to ensure part conformity and traceability.
• Communicating any equipment needs with Engineering & Quality managers.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating CNC machinery.
• Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
• Experience with 3‑axis milling centres preferable but not essential.
• Ability to edit CNC programmes to suit needs if required.
• Fanuc experience preferable but not essential.
• Using measuring tools – vernier and calipers.
• Ability to record information and communicate effectively with colleagues.
