The role involves operating CNC milling machinery to manufacture aluminium components while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and traceability.
The Role
Working as part of a busy manufacturing team, you'll be responsible for operating CNC machinery, carrying out quality checks and ensuring production requirements are met safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Operating CNC milling machines
Loading materials and components into CNC machinery
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions
Producing components to drawing specifications
Carrying out quality inspections using measuring equipment
Ensuring part conformity and maintaining material traceability
Reporting equipment issues to Engineering and Quality teams
Supporting continuous improvement activities within the machining department
Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
What We're Looking For
Essential
Previous CNC machine operating experience
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometres and gauges
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Good communication and organisational skills
Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment Desirable
Experience with Haas, Mazak or Hurco machines, although we will consider all CNC experience.
Experience editing CNC programmes
Experience machining aluminium
Experience creating fixtures and clamping arrangements
What's on Offer?
Permanent position
Salary of £34,500 per annum
Rotating weekly shift pattern:
Week 1: 06:00 - 14:00
Week 2: 14:00 - 22:00
Monday to Friday
37.5 hours per week
