Assembly Operative

Assembly Operative (Bristol) – £12.71 per hour, full-time, temp-to-perm

Based in Pucklechurch (BS16), this manufacturing role involves assembling refrigeration units from engineering drawings, fitting mechanical parts, and installing insulation. You will use jib and gantry cranes to position compressors, working Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00. This position suits those seeking steady, long-term employment within a growing operation.

We’re recruiting reliable Assembly Operatives to join a busy and growing operation in Pucklechurch.

• Industrial/Manufacturing (around 75–85%)
• Assembling refrigeration units from existing designs.
• Following engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Fitting mechanical components.
• Using jib/gantry cranes to install compressors.
• Installing insulation (lagging).
• Maintaining quality standards and health & safety.
• Working to production schedules.
• Technical Engineering (around 15–25%)
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Identifying discrepancies in drawings or components.
• Understanding mechanical assemblies.
• Working with refrigeration equipment.
• Carrying out testing/inspection (preferred experience).

• Good level of English (essential for instructions & safety)
• Previous Manufacturing or assembly operative roles preferred.
• Reliable, punctual, and hard-working.
• Comfortable with physical work and being on your feet.

Important:
This is an active Production Assembly role involving manual handling, so you must be comfortable with physical tasks throughout your shift.
