Melter​/Furnace Operative

Reed Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a leading Engineering & Manufacturing company Professional Profile Reliable and safety-focused industrial operator with experience supporting furnace operations and heavy material handling. Proven ability to work in team environments operating VIM, VAR, ESR, or similar equipment, with strong attention to quality, safety, and process control. Demonstrates excellent discipline, accountability, and commitment to maintaining high operational standards and workplace organisation.

Key Skills & Experience Safe handling of materials using overhead cranes and forklift trucks Furnace operations support (VIM, VAR, ESR, or similar industrial processes) Charge preparation, mixing, and furnace loading Crucible, refractory, and mould preparation

Experience with heat treatment furnaces (loading/unloading) Strong adherence to QA procedures and documentation (melt records where applicable) High standards of housekeeping and safety compliance
