Key Responsibilities Build working knowledge of all CNC section machines, including different material machining methods, setups and best practice on runners/repeaters. Work with programmers/CNC Manager to identify subcontract parts that can be brought back in-house (and future machine needs). Manage staffing/holiday planning across early/late shifts to maintain production coverage. Run machines as required to cover holidays, sickness and urgent customer demand. Help implement and improve inspection/quality initiatives in conjunction with programming and CNC leadership. Create/maintain setup sheets, tooling lists and supporting documentation when required.
Attend meetings as required. Skills & Experience Strong hands-on CNC milling background (setting/machining; programming understanding beneficial). Confident communicator with the ability to lead, coach and support peers/subordinates. Good working knowledge of quality/inspection expectations in a precision manufacturing environment.
Organised, proactive, and able to balance production delivery with people development. Apprenticeship/technical qualification desirable.
