- Pay: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum

, you will support the Planning Manager with materials planning, purchasing, inventory control and production coordination. The Production & Materials Coordinator will use the MRP/ERP system to review material demand, raise purchase orders and monitor supplier deliveries while helping to ensure materials are available to meet production schedules. Working closely with Stores, production supervisors and department managers, the Production & Materials Coordinator
will also track manufacturing progress, maintain accurate system data and support KPI reporting.
Essential Skills, Experience, or
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in materials planning, purchasing, procurement, production planning or supply chain coordination is essential for the Production & Materials Coordinator
- Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
- Good understanding of inventory management principles
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to identify potential material shortages and elevate risks appropriately
- Experience maintaining accurate inventory and planning records
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
- Previous engineering or manufacturing experience would be advantageous
- Knowledge of machining, fabrication, welding or assembly processes
- Understanding of supply chain and procurement best practices
