Are you a hands on Mechanical Technician ready to take the next step in your career? We're looking for a Lead Mechanical Technician to join a well-established manufacturing business in Bristol, where you'll play a key role in maintaining production equipment, leading technical improvements, and leading a small but skilled engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company that invests in its people, offers genuine career progression, and provides a varied role combining fault-finding, maintenance, assembly, project work, and team leadership. You'll be at the heart of the operation, helping to drive reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the manufacturing facility.

The Role:

Supported team leadership and mentored junior technicians.
Assembled complex, high-tech products.
Produced and maintained SOPs to support Lean processes.
Ensured compliance with BOMs, quality, and ISO standards.
Resolved build issues to keep production on schedule.
Escalated shortages and technical risks to minimise delays.
Managed workloads and team performance when deputising for the Team Leader.

What we are looking for:

Vacuum industry fitting experience preferred.
Able to read engineering drawings.
Strong fault-finding skills.
Continuous Improvement mindset.
Apprentice mentoring experience.
