Industrial Welder Fabricator

Due to continued growth Apex Pumps is seeking an experienced Industrial Welder / Fabricator to join its team on a part-time permanent basis working 25.5 hours across three days per week.

The Industrial Welder / Fabricator will be responsible for manufacturing and assembling high-quality fabricated components for Apex Pumps range of engineered products.

The successful candidate will carry out MIG and TIG welding fabrication and assembly activities preparing and fitting components interpreting engineering drawings and producing high-quality welds using materials including mild steel and stainless steel.

The role also involves inspecting completed work to ensure it meets quality standards carrying out finishing operations and basic manual machining where required and using a variety of workshop tools and equipment to support efficient production.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out MIG and TIG welding fabrication and assembly work
• Preparing fitting and assembling fabricated components
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets quality standards
• Performing finishing operations and basic manual machining where required
• Maintaining welding equipment tools and machinery
• Maintaining a clean safe and organised working environment
• Working collaboratively with the production team to achieve quality and delivery targets
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes
• Complying with Health & Safety Quality and Environmental procedures

To be considered for this role candidates should have:

• Previous experience in a general industrial or factory welding role
• Experience working with mild steel and/or stainless steel
• Good practical MIG and/or TIG welding skills
• The ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings
• A flexible approach with a willingness to support different areas of production
• A strong commitment to safe working practices and maintaining an organised workplace

Experience in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment would be advantageous.

This role may also be suitable for candidates with experience as a Welder Fabricator MIG Welder TIG Welder Fabricator Welder Production Welder Sheet Metal Fabricator Manufacturing Welder Welding Technician or Fabrication Technician.

• Salary of 17.00 - 18.50 per hour
