Description

We are currently seeking a proactive and results-oriented Shift Manager to join our client's team in Wigan. As a key player in their operations, you will be responsible for driving productivity and efficiency across a range of departments within a fast-paced FMCG environment. With a strong focus on leadership and resource management, you will play a vital role in ensuring the ongoing success and growth.

The ideal candidate will have a robust background in managing diverse teams and departments, with the ability to implement effective processes that support our continuous improvement ethos. You will have a strategic mindset, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a dedication to achieving outstanding results.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate daily shift operations, ensuring optimal efficiency and productivity.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Manage resources effectively across multiple departments, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Implement lean manufacturing practices to streamline operations and minimize waste.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct performance reviews and set achievable targets for team members.
  • Communicate effectively with other shift managers and departments to ensure consistency and quality across operations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the FMCG industry is essential.
  • Strong understanding of managing operations in multiple departments.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to implement and drive continuous improvement processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
