Machine Operator Manufacturing

Standex Electronics is a worldwide market leader in the design, development and manufacture of standard reed switch-based sensor solutions and custom electro-magnetic components. We are currently looking for a Machine Setter to join our team based in Tonbridge Kent. The role focuses on the setting and operation of our specialised component assembly/sealing machines producing Reed Switches. You must be versatile and able to work well within a team environment.

It is important to note that this is a hands-on role, requiring a self-motivated and focused individual. Requirements. To be considered for this role previous experience of Machine (mechanical) setting is preferable, however a background in mechanical engineering, or mechanics would be an advantage. Responsibilities / The setting, monitoring, and operation of our bespoke production machines. Taking measurements of components using, verniers, toolmakers microscope, and recording data ensuring compliant with drawings and specifications.

Recording daily machine output, downtime, and yields. Due to our highly specialised machinery a period of training will be given to any successful candidate.
