Senior Communications & Marketing Officer

Summary

We’re looking for a Senior Communications and Marketing Officer to plan and lead our communications and marketing for Tyntesfield.
Salary: £27,612 per annum Contract: Permanent Hours/ working pattern: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. This role involves working one weekend a month to support the operational needs.

The 70‑strong team at this spectacular Victorian gothic house have ambitious plans for growth over the next few years. Tyntesfield’s excellent location just outside of Bristol means there is great scope to develop the visitor experience to this vast estate, and the team are encouraged to be forward thinking and creative in their approach. There is a strong sustainability focus at the property with working kitchen gardens that produce delicious produce for the café and restaurant.

You’ll work alongside other senior colleagues to develop messages and themes and share them through various communications channels. You'll be looking for fresh creative ideas for how to bring to life the stories of National Trust places in your area, and how to talk to visitors about the work we do to protect nature, beauty and history here. This is a varied and dynamic role, so you'll be working at pace and with many diverse people and sites.

No two days will be the same. You’ll be promoting events and the distinctive themes of some very different places, as well as joining our duty management rota.

• skilled at both written and spoken communications
• a team player, who can also work on your own initiative
• good at absorbing information quickly, and generating written content and imagery
• able to create captivating year‑round marketing plans
• a skilled proof‑reader.
