Job Description & How to Apply Below
This is a little different from your typical agency content role. Rather than creating content for clients, you'll be focused entirely on marketing the agency itself—building its brand, growing its audience and developing a content engine that generates inbound opportunities and new business.
The Role You'll take ownership of the agency's content strategy, working closely with the senior leadership team to turn its expertise, opinions, results and success stories into content that gets noticed by the right people. You'll be responsible for:
Developing and implementing the agency's overall content marketing strategy. Creating content designed to generate awareness, engagement and ultimately new business opportunities. Building the agency and leadership team's presence across Instagram, Linked In, Youtube, X and other relevant channels. Turning insights, client successes and industry expertise into compelling thought leadership. Creating and managing blogs, reports, case studies, newsletters, social content and longer-form pieces.
Developing a consistent content calendar and ensuring content is delivered king with internal creative, performance and leadership teams to uncover great stories and ideas. Understanding what content actually contributes to pipeline—not just likes and impressions. Using performance data to continually improve the content strategy. Helping establish the agency and its leadership team as recognised voices within the performance marketing and eCommerce space.
About You I'm looking for someone who can combine excellent content skills with a commercial mindset. You'll ideally have:
Significant experience across content marketing, content strategy or brand/editorial marketing. A track record of building content strategies that generate audience growth, leads and commercial opportunities. Excellent copywriting, storytelling and editorial skills. Strong understanding of Linked In and other organic channels. Experience developing thought leadership for senior leaders or founders. An understanding of performance marketing, eCommerce or the agency world would be a big advantage.
The ability to turn complex ideas into engaging, commercially relevant content. A proactive mindset—you'll be expected to bring ideas and build the function rather than wait for briefs. Most importantly, this isn't a client delivery position. You'll essentially act as the in-house content lead for the agency itself, with a clear objective of using great content to build the brand and drive growth.
What's on Offer? Circa £60,000–£70,000 Bristol Hybrid working Ownership of the agency's content strategy A role directly influencing growth and new business Close collaboration with the founder and senior leadership team Freedom to build the content function and make it your own If you've built content engines that do more than generate engagement and can demonstrate how your work has contributed to brand growth, inbound leads and revenue I'd love to hear from you.
