Aboutthe Role
We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team based at a CQC rated Good hospital in Emersons Green. You will be part of a close‑knit collaborative team who pride themselves in providing the highest standard of care to patients and their families. Our inpatients team comprises experienced nurses and healthcare assistants supported by a Ward Manager. In addition to basic ward duties, you will oversee new patient admissions, ensure key documentation is completed and introduce patients to the care team.
All of our work is planned so you can schedule your week confidently, knowing your work schedule won’t change.
- Long day 07:00 – 20:00
- Early 07:00 – 15:00
- Late 12:00 – 20:00
- Night 19:00 – 08:00
Deliver direct patient care to a group of designated patients during their inpatient episode, delegating and supervising care delivery of HCAs to ensure optimal standards at all times. Ensure care and practices meet all external regulatory requirements, working to the NMC code of practice and within the framework of Practice Plus Group policies and procedures.
Effectively manage and lead staff, supplies and equipment. Take charge of the ward in the absence of more senior staff, ensuring the required level of competence is maintained.
Work as a member of the multi‑disciplinary team, practicing and maintaining a high standard of clinical care and participating in all department activities to enhance the patient experience and ensure safety for patients, visitors and staff.
What we’ll look for- Level 1 Registered Nurse
- Relevant post‑registration experience
- Recent experience in a surgical ward, preferably across different specialities
- Good understanding of infection control
- Ability to plan and prioritise own and others’ workloads when under pressure
- Ability to manage change effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literate
- Salary £38,376.55 p.a.
