Grow Wilder Support Crew – Weekend Site Operations

Hours:
Flexible (normally 9:00‑5:00 Saturday; may include evenings) | Pay: £13.59 per hour + 12.07% holiday entitlements.
Location:
Grow Wilder, 181 Frenchay Park Road, Bristol, BS16 1EL.

Responsibilities- First point of contact for site visitors and customer questions
- Oversee site operations to keep people safe and informed
- Open and close the site for space hires
- Manage and drive wildflower and vegetable sales
- Water plants and landscape as needed
- Provide event support, handling questions or general site requests from the catering team
- Respond to ad‑hoc queries or broader assistance to individuals and groups
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage individuals and groups warmly and informatively.
- Broad awareness of health and safety on site; knowledge of potential risks when opening to the public and appropriate interventions.
- Interest in Grow Wilder’s work and an understanding of the kinds of groups that use the space.
- Experience taking responsibility for resources such as money, physical assets and people.
- Flexible working on a casual contract

Grow Wilder, established in 2012, is an urban growing hub, learning centre and wildflower nursery for Bristol and surrounding areas. It is run by Avon Wildlife Trust, a charity that manages over 30 nature reserves across the West of England. Grow Wilder aims to engage and inspire local people and communities to support nature’s recovery through demonstration, learning and events.
