Registered Veterinary Nurse - Twilight

Rowe Veterinary Group, Bradley Stoke

Up to £32,000 DOE

Full or Part-Time, 40 hours per week

Join a specialist-led hospital team in a dedicated twilight role

We are delighted to open applications for a Twilight Veterinary Nurse to join Rowe Veterinary Group at our purpose-built Veterinary Hospital in Bradley Stoke. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a 24-hour hospital environment, alongside dedicated referral clinicians, experienced RVNs and a committed out-of-hours team.

If you enjoy working in a busy hospital setting, thrive on variety and want exposure to advanced cases and equipment, this could be the ideal next step in your nursing career.

Role details

As part of our twilight team, you will provide high-quality nursing care across a wide range of first opinion and referral cases. This is a varied, hands‑on position where you will support patients across multiple disciplines and play a key role in the smooth running of the hospital during the evening period.

Responsibilities
  • Covering nursing duties across prep, theatre, wards and imaging
  • Monitoring anaesthesia and sedation for patients undergoing diagnostics, surgery and rechecks
  • Assisting in theatre
  • Supporting first opinion and referral cases, acting as a key point of contact for clients, including organising admissions and discharges
  • Delivering excellent inpatient care within our wards
  • Supporting the OOH team with admitting and stabilising emergency cases

You will gain exposure to orthopaedic, soft tissue, ophthalmology and internal medicine cases, working with advanced imaging facilities including MRI and CT.

Working pattern

Full-time hours are 40 per week, Monday to Friday, 5pm to 2am, with a one‑hour unpaid break.

There is a shared bank holiday rota, currently averaging two per year.

We are happy to consider part‑time applications and flexible working requests.

About the hospital

Our purpose‑built hospital operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, offering advanced treatment options and specialist referral services. You will be part of a collaborative, supportive team environment where clinical standards and patient welfare are at the heart of everything we do.

What we’re looking for

We are seeking a confident and compassionate RVN who enjoys working in a fast‑paced hospital setting. You should be comfortable supporting complex cases, confident in anaesthesia monitoring and motivated to deliver consistently high standards of care.

Experience in referral or emergency work would be advantageous, but is not essential for the right candidate with strong core nursing skills.

Because our people matter

We recognise that our people are fundamental to the success of our business. Investing in our people, premises and processes is at the heart of what we do. In addition to a competitive base salary up to £32,000 DOE, you will benefit from:
