Permanent full‑time 37 hours per week (includes some weekends). Fixed term for 6 months, full time. Some weekends on rota (average two weekends per month).

• Litter picking and bin emptying.
• Clearing fly‑tip from parks and green spaces.
• Occasional assistance with grass cutting and shrub maintenance using hand‑held machinery.

• Full driving licence for use in the UK and ability to drive a wide range of vehicles.
• Ability to carry out the physical demands of the role, working outdoors and at weekends.
• Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace.

Training and support for progression into Gardener and Chargehand positions as opportunities arise. Secondment arrangements are available for permanent council employees. Fixed‑term contracts for those currently on a fixed‑term contract or casual workers.
