We are looking for an enthusiastic GP vet to join our team. We have a lovely welcoming team across 8 sites in Bristol, run by an experienced team of Clinical Directors and Vets, many of whom have been with the practice for more than a decade!

This role will involve providing holiday and sickness cover across our eight sites, offering plenty of variety and the opportunity to work with different teams. We’re looking for a confident Veterinary Surgeon who is comfortable with routine surgery, consulting and working sole charge when required.

* Within our team we can offer a wealth of experience and qualifications in handy subjects such as Behaviour, Pain Management and Acupuncture How You’ll Make a Difference As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.

You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.
* Inpatient/ward shifts involve looking after our inpatients including any investigation required
* Seeing any urgent/emergency appointments throughout the day Working Pattern
* 38.7 hours per week
* Four days per week 8.30am-6.30pm with occasional late shifts 10.30am-8.30pm.
* Saturday shifts (3 in 11):
Fishponds - 9am-4pm, consulting only, Zetland Hospital - 8.30am-5.00pm, either consulting only shift or ward/inpatient/emergency shift

* A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
* Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
* A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development
* Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
