Head Veterinary Nurse - Bristol

Salary £34,000 - £42,000 DOE | 4-Day Week | Leadership Opportunity | Independent Veterinary Group

Are you an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse ready to take the next step into leadership? We are seeking a confident and motivated Head Veterinary Nurse to join a thriving small animal practice in Bristol.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated nursing team within a modern, purpose-built veterinary practice, helping to deliver outstanding patient care while supporting the development of RVNs, Student Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Care Assistants.

The Role
  • Permanent, full-time position
  • 39 hours per week across 4 days
  • 9-hour shifts
  • 1 in 4 weekends
  • Duty nights on a rota basis
  • Salary £34,000 - £42,000 depending on experience
  • Lead and inspire a talented nursing team
  • Support clinical standards, patient care and team development
  • Mentor RVNs, student nurses and VCAs
  • Work closely with the wider clinical team to maintain exceptional service levels
About You

We are looking for a Head Veterinary Nurse who:

  • Is an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse
  • Has strong clinical nursing experience
  • Is confident, approachable and self-motivated
  • Enjoys coaching and mentoring colleagues
  • Has excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Is passionate about delivering exceptional patient and client care
  • Thrives in a collaborative team environment
