OverviewGlentham Life Sciences is a supplier of fine chemicals and laboratory reagents to companies and institutions across the globe. We are growing our quality control team to continue to ensure that all materials dispatched are of the highest quality.
Based at our facility in Corsham, Wiltshire, the main responsibilities will be focused on the quality assessment of incoming chemical goods. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, competent and dedicated to improving our product quality. Our current chemical analyses comprise a variety of techniques, including chromatography, spectrophotometry, polarimetry, and various wet chemistry techniques such as titration. There will also be some requirement to communicate with suppliers and customers to provide technical assistance, non-conformity management and additional product documentation.
All work is carried out in accordance with our ISO 9001 quality management system.
- Assess the quality of incoming chemical goods (quality control tasks, documentation, non-conformity management).
- Communicate with suppliers and customers to provide technical assistance and product documentation.
- Operate and maintain analytical techniques (chromatography, spectrophotometry, polarimetry, titration) as part of routine QC analyses.
- Collaborate with the team to support continuous product quality improvements.
- Educated to degree level with qualifications in chemistry, biology or similar life science (e.g., biomedical sciences).
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on scientific accuracy.
- Experience in quality control and analytical chemistry (ranging from wet chemistry techniques to HPLC/GC systems) is preferred but not essential.
