This position is based within a leading academic research environment and offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge questions in molecular evolution, genomics, and RNA biology.

The successful candidate will work as part of a collaborative research team investigating how microRNAs originated and evolved across different species. The role involves conducting advanced computational and/or experimental analyses, contributing to the development of new research methodologies, and interpreting complex biological datasets. The postholder will be expected to actively contribute to the design and execution of research activities, prepare high-quality publications, and present findings at scientific meetings and conferences.
